If you live in a dorm, you usually have friends that come over all throughout the day. While you have all these ordinary furniture in your dorm, you may want your dorm to look good all the time. One way of making your dorm look good is by adding cool dorm furniture. These does not only make your dorm look cool, but it offers some cool uses too and cool dorm furniture will help you relax after a whole day of working or studying.
Some Cool Furniture Ideas for your Dorm
If you always have friends who hang out in your dorm, of course you wouldn’t want to sit and talk with them for hours in a hard and stiff chair. You can place bean bags or fuff chairs so you and your friends can get comfortable. Bean bags are sealed bags that contain polystyrene or plastic beads. On the other hand, a fuff chair is also like a bean bag, but instead of beads, it is a bag full of foam. You can also add some floor pillows or floor cushions with them.
Rockers and tempo chairs are also cool dorm furniture. If you want to relax after a whole day’s work, then you may want one of these. Of course you know that a rocker is just not a chair. Instead of just having four legs, its legs are mounted in curved bases, which make the chair rock. A tempo chair on the other hand, is like an advanced rocking chair. It usually has a metal frame that can be adjusted so you can either use it as a rocker or just a steady comfortable chair.
A futon is very ideal for dorms. Since dorms are not really as spacious as regular homes, you need to try to save up some space. A futon is a kind of cool dorm furniture you can sit on. Then, you can convert it to something you can sleep on. Usually futons look like benches, but can be folded for them to be used as night beds. Not only does a futon save space, there are futons that really look attractive and can give your dorm a better look.
There are people who spend a lot of money in dressing up their dorms. However you really don’t have to spend much for it. You can always check the Internet for discounted items.
